I made a piece for my ap art portfolio that had to do with candles, and it was probably one of my favorite pieces since it was temporary it will never be back in the state that it started at. If anyone wants to see I would love to share in the replies!

i think the meaning of it is self harm

i like to think that the second one is about the parents' divorce, when the child stays with the one they loved less. parting with a beloved parent leads to the child forgeting themselves in their thoughts about them(the beloved parent), staying with someone who 'cannot replace'. and in the end, they burn out. regarding the first one, i like to think that it's about people who shut themselves in, keeping all the words in their mouths and hurting themselves by doing so.
