For everyone asking about why goat mum rejected: Animals rejecting the runt is basically survival instinct. In the wild, food and energy are limited, so a mother may instinctively focus on the offspring most likely to survive. Runts can also struggle to compete for milk or seem less responsive, which can reduce the cues that trigger maternal care. Brutal by human standards, but in nature it’s about survival.
