Walmart has finally entered the year 2014. 😂 After being one of the last major holdouts, Walmart has officially started rolling out Tap to Pay, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, contactless cards and smartwatches. Yes. You can finally walk into Walmart, hold your phone near the card reader and pay like civilized society intended. No opening Walmart Pay. No scanning a QR code. No standing at self-checkout wondering why the largest retailer on Earth apparently feared NFC technology. The rollout started August 24 at select Walmart and Sam’s Club locations and is expected to reach all U.S. stores by the end of 2026. Fuel stations are scheduled to follow by mid-2027. So before you sprint into your local Walmart waving your iPhone at the register like Harry Potter, check whether YOUR store has it yet. 😂 And honestly?
