@hdbuilders: Not every custom home follows a standard layout—and that’s exactly why planning matters. 👏 This garage was designed around the homeowner’s boat. To make backing the boat in as easy as possible, we kept the driveway flatter, which meant the garage floor sat much lower than the rest of the home. That created much taller garage ceilings. Instead of leaving all that overhead space unusable, we installed high-lift garage door tracks. This moves the garage door up and out of the way, giving you more usable wall and ceiling space while creating a much cleaner look. If you’re building a home with taller garage ceilings, this is one upgrade we highly recommend. It’s a relatively small investment that makes a big difference in both function and appearance.
