Doe je ding gudu. Wij ouders weten dat we moeten loslaten, zodat onze kids hun libi zoeken. Zolang het goed gaat met onze kids, gaat het ook goed met ons. Leeftijd maakt het idd iets minder, maar je mama is niet alleen. En thanks to technology, kan je haar elke dag zien en spreken. Komt goed gudu. Ga je ding doen. Make her more proud, cause i know she already is.

Some advise from one international student to another: i would say have an open en heartwarming discussion with your parents about every doubts that you have, the way that you are feeling because of the distance and them getting old. Remember that we are lucky to have technology that makes studying abroad easier to stay in contact with our loved ones at home. But without s doubt , this will bring closer to your parents… i can tell you by experience. Good luck and don’t forget to enjoy this amazing journey.
