You’re so inspiring! I am due with my second beginning of October and have been trying to be so intentional with saving for a 3 month unpaid maternity leave as I have been self employed for 10 years now as a massage therapist. With my first, I was lucky enough to have very minimal overhead to keep business afloat and was able to live off spouses income for an entire year. This time is so different. I now own a commercial space, have renters and a few different income streams. It’s been stressful thinking about taking a step back from work, especially because I was able to take a year off with my first. But thanks to motivation from creators like you I feel like it’s possible to balance all of life’s challenges, including running a business, saving and taking a shorter maternity leave than I did with my first. We started a weekly allowance for my 5 year old daughter (thanks to you) and it’s been so fun to do as a family, teaching her about the importance of saving, investing and charity. You are inspiring! Thank you for sharing!

Congratulations! You’re very inspiring! Have you given thought to making a snowball type spreadsheet for mortgages ? It is very hard for some to get it accurate. A $50 prepayment actually adds up fast and I think a lot of people (like me) are motivated by seeing the numbers drop.
