Well that answers the question on why they made the 6.8 v8 and a 7.3. They killed the 6.8 then immediately detuned the 7.3 to make their epa bonus.

and... only expect about 240k out of the 6.8 mini godzilla ( which they cancelled for 27) it has same lifter failures as the 7.3 godzilla. I just lost mine last week. I run on demand hot shot. ngl miss my 19 ram, got 350k out of the 5.7 hemi.

I actually don't think the EPA was behind the HP drop. I don't think anything actually changed with the engine. I'm fairly certain Ford was inaccurately advertising the power numbers for that engine and caught some heat over it. they are just advertising more accurate numbers now.

I actually took away the emissions regulation, so it shouldn't be getting stricter. It should be getting looser, because trump changed the law
