Kyubey is also necessary for the evolution of humanity as well. As Kyubey mentioned to Madoka, its civilization has been interfering with humanity since caveman times and “humanity would likely still be living naked in caves” if it never came to Earth. It’s canon that magical girls have driven the development and evolution of humanity. The Incubators and the Magical Girl system are a necessary evil for the sake of humanity’s progress.

I think it’s also because she understood they weren’t necessarily evil they didn’t understand human emotions nor feel them she knew they were doing what their instincts told them to do which is persevering the natural life of the universe without relying on thermal energy

yeah, so, did a person that watched the show even look at the script here or did we just fully ai slop this? destroying kyubey is both contrary to madoka's character and irrelevant to madoka's wish. homura chose to torture them, as a species, at the end of rebellion. at least that was my understanding at the end of the movie. it's not about logic or anything of the sort. all of what was said was irrelevant to madoka

my question is why is there such a need for energy to keep the universe alive? bc in our universe heat death is still a possible thing, but not supposed to happen for billions of years. but in madoka magica kyubey makes it out to be an imminent threat that will destroy the universe soon. is it just one of those things that is never explained, or is there an actual reason?

The incubators aren't necessarily evil; from their emotionless perspective, granting a wish in exchange for becoming a witch later is fair, for them it's simply a system that works for all of them, even if it's not really fair because most magical girls don't know the truth until it's too late

your right about madoka not wanting to erase the magical girl system, but its not because she sees kyubeys point of view. Madoka wants to honor the wishes of every girl who wishes to become a magical girl, as her desire to be selfless hero through becoming a magical girl manifests in every timelime. Madoka simply refused to let those wishes end in despair, which is why she chooses to erase the witch portion of the system despite them creating some of the most energy as confirmed by kyubey when he talks about bringing the witch system back.

I have a theory, or rather something that would make sense (I haven't seen the movie). In theory, Madoka is now a goddess who, theoretically, can be considered one-on-one with the universe. Madoka, theoretically, can now know that the universe is indeed dying and knows that Kyubey is necessary since he creates energy for the universe to persist. Now that Kyubey is being controlled and monitored by Homura, theoretically, in this second reset, there are no incubators giving this energy to the universe, so in theory... is the universe dying? And something that would make sense is that if the universe is dying... Madoka is dying too.

incubators do not have a barrier that blocked her, they had a barrier that made it so homura was just close enough to becoming a witch,but purifying it just enough so it wouldn't turn into a grief seed AND also restricting awitch labyrinth, madoka just couldn't "save" homura due to that, so she goes in to persuade homura to break out the barrier.

Kubey really wasn’t an evil or good in the serious. Kubey embodies consequentialism where the actions leading up to the result doesn’t matter as long as the result is better. Kubeys like it or not are doing things for the best
