Building products for companies is very different from building products for individuals. 1. Setup needs to be simple. An individual should be able to start using your app within a few minutes. A company should not need more than a day to get everything running. If setup takes too long, people experience friction before they experience any value. Even a useful product can lose potential users during onboarding if getting started feels like another project. 2. Security becomes a much bigger responsibility. An individual user might continue using an app as long as it works for them. Companies have to be stricter because they are trusting the product with information that belongs to their employees, customers and business. Private documents cannot leak outside the company. Unauthorized people cannot gain access. Every person should only see the information they are allowed to see. A polished interface can make a product attractive, but that is only one part of making it ready for companies. The setup has to be easy enough for people to reach the value quickly, and the security has to be strong enough for the company to trust you with its information.
