I scanned products members picked up at full price not knowing the same product two shelves over was marked ninety seven. My scanner read the barcode. Nobody taught the member to read the tag. 2️⃣ Every electronic gets a free two year extended warranty. No paperwork. No fee. I scanned TVs and laptops knowing they were covered. I handed them the receipt. I did not hand them the information. Most stores charge two to three hundred for that coverage. 3️⃣ Costco has a feedback program at costpon.com where active members get seven hundred and fifty dollar gift cards for a short survey. I scanned three hundred dollar carts all day. Gift card changes that to ten. I said the total out loud. I did not say costpon.com. Every active member qualifies. Ten minutes. A hundred thousand items scanned. Zero times I said the website. 4️⃣ The food court. Dollar fifty hot dog for forty years. Eat before you shop. Full stomach means less impulse buying. Nobody suggests eating first. A full stomach costs them money. I scanned the impulse buys that a hot dog would have prevented. 5️⃣ The membership is refundable at any point. Eleven months in full fee back. Members told me they were unhappy. I said your total is. I did not say the desk will give you every dollar back. Five things. A hundred thousand items. The belt is behind me. The scanner is off. The silence is over.
