oh girl, i grew up in an italian family and we yell a lot. all my siblings are okay (we may talk loud lmfao) but you’re going to yell at your kids from time to time. give yourself some grace

You don’t need to feel guilt for yelling like that! You had a normal and valid reaction to what happened, and then took the time to go and apologize to him and work it out. You’re doing great! Kids are resilient and very forgiving

I yelled at my toddler today for closing a door on my finger. He’s a toddler, and it was a complete accident. I still yelled because it hurt. I hugged him, explained why I yelled (even though he doesn’t really understand), and we moved on with our day. “Kids will be kids” but adults are going to react sometimes too, but it’s the recognition & “righting” of the situation that will build a strong relationship with our kiddos ❤️😊 (in my opinion)

what matters the most to kids (and long term) is exactly what you did. The goal isn’t to never yell or to be the perfect parent. It’s to show kids that people get upset, and make mistakes, yell, but they apologize and make up for it, and improve going forward. Don’t feel guilty 🤍🤍 took me a long time to learn that with my own kids.
