So many Christians believe conservative values & lifestyle are based in scripture. They’re largely not. There’s nothing wrong with wanting his family to live that way but it should be presented as an opinion with some Biblical principles but not the Biblical predictive that all Christians are called to hold.

well times do change and many a pastor are even in the words many times teach that only men are of value ..woman are equal to men eve was formed by Adams rib ..and yes it's great to stand on his promises stand on his truth one that comes to talking that men are the ones that are always right. ..put on the whole amour of God .,how did Jesus when tempted by Satan while alone in prayer ......He used scripture ..and when one knows scriptures one can take on even a pastor and when you know you know ..

Great example of how humans take scripture and throw it to unhealthy extremes in many cases… Wanting so badly to inject their own humanistic morals, and standards, and then finding one passage of scripture to twist and support it
