Islam literally comes from the salam in Arabic which means peace and a secondary meaning that some scholars use is isteslam which means surrendering urself to god cuz u worship him, the prophet's fights were mostly on the defensive end, Islam teaches us ab how to act during war and only be at war when defending ourselves we're not expected to js sit still and watch invaders come and take over otherwise no Muslim country would exist today cuz they'd all be colonized
