@guidedogsaustralia: Sometimes, changes in the outside environment are useful tools for cane users to find their way. When out and about, cane users may use objects they know in the environment to help orientate themselves towards their destination. Just like how our team member knows that after they pass two trees, they have reached the pedestrian crossing. [Video description: a Guide Dogs NSW/ACT staff member demonstrates arcing with a white cane outside on a footpath. They move the cane from left to right, using the tiled footpath and trees to orientate themselves. The Guide Dogs logo appears.]
