Keep in mind giyu had a mark, and a defensive breathing style to fight Akaza, also tanjiro was fighting. Rengoku was killed off because how hard he was to draw/animate

Friendly reminder to the giyu glazers, if not for tanjiro giyu would’ve got the donut hole a lot sooner than rengoku did. So no… giyu is NOT stronger than rengoku at least they both still get folded by akaza at the least

Literally so much overwhelming evidence to prove that rengoku is top 3 hashira unmarked. Genuinely slams giyuu. He performed way better against akaza with NO help WHILE being weakened

Rengoku fought for about 8 hours before fighting Akaza making him weaker and more not even full strength. Yet he still managed to hold his own and actually almost defeat upper three ALONE. Rengoku DESTROYS Giyuu and most the other Hashira. Giyuu needed another Hashira level person helping him against Akaza just to barely win and get carried by Tanjiro even though he was full strength AND had the mark. All while Rengoku was weakened, ALONE and without the mark. Rengoku is top three Hashira. ❤️🔥
