you can have a preference, but that is incredilby unhealthy misinformation. while its obviously not good for you, diet soda is leagues better than full sugar soda.

Aspartame is the most researched alternative sweetener of all time. Let’s stop the fear mongering lmao

It’s absolutely not. There’s no evidence to suggest artificial sweetener is bad for you except in obscenely large amounts over a long time. Stop spreading misinformation

Whats the proof? Do you mean that aspartame and sucralose was proven evil through them pumping rats with like 100x the amount anyone would consume at once in relation to their body weight and the rats suffered health effects?

I’d rather zero calories. Diet is only bad if you consume an unholy amount regularly

Diet sodas are not linked to cancer in any peer reviewed study. The claim that they contain aspertame is false, they contain chemical precursors to aspertame. It would be like saying water has jet fuel in it because it has two hydrogen atoms.

daily sugar intake is 50g one coke is 39g, on the higher end is mtn dew with 46g. daily aspartame is 40g per kilo of body weight. if you weigh even 100lbs you can have 1.8kg of aspartame. one diet coke is 200g is aspartame. you would have to have 10 diet cokes to go over the daily recommended limit of aspartame vs 2 cokes already being over your daily recommended limit of sugar. this isn’t counting any other foods with sugar which you may consume, further pushing that sugar intake past that limit. not to mention full sugar sodas being being 140-150 calories and diet sodas being 0. consume what you want but don’t spread misinformation, when even in moderation full sugar sodas take well over half of your daily intake for sugar and diet sodas take 1/8 of your daily aspartame intake.

This is one of those things where people refer to a story where they pump a few rats full of artificial sweeteners for a week and act surprised when they die lmao

No h8, but it tastes so bad idk how yall do that. I like almost every single food, but the artificial sweetener flavor is such a NO for me. Celsius/alani are the only drinks I can stand that contain it

that’s just false, for instance how full sugar causes rapid sugar and insulin spikes, plus high sugar content hurts dental health. that’s not to say that diet doesnt have drawbacks, it’s still unhealthy but it’s much better.

DACH ZEECKE :
Objectively false. Bad misinformation. 12 fluid ounces of coke is more than 75% of the recommended daily sugar intake for the average adult.
