But the Lord Jesus said: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 KJV, So the question is not: “Are you a Christian?” The question is: “Are you truly following Christ and doing the will of God?” Second truth: Do not use God’s forgiveness as a reason to keep sinning. Some people say: “God will forgive me anyway.” But Hebrews 10:26 KJV says: “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” We all have weaknesses, and we all stumble. But if you know something is sin, yet choose again and again to remain in it, and even comfort yourself by saying: “God will forgive me,” that is not treasuring grace. That is abusing grace. The Lord Jesus said: “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” John 8:34 KJV And a servant of sin cannot enter the kingdom of God. Third truth: What truly needs to be prepared is your life. If you are trapped in the cycle of sinning and confessing, do not simply try harder to struggle by your own strength. What you need is God’s truth. Only God’s Word can truly transform your life. So, being afraid of hell is not the end. What truly matters is this: Today, you still have the opportunity to turn back, and to seek the path that leads you out of sin.
