i’ve been going through this myself this year. in the beginning i decided i wouldn’t worry myself with being “good person” anymore. that was back in march. in june i realized i was lonelier than i’d ever been and things weren’t getting better. today i’m starting to realize that if you want the most out of life, you need to embrace all aspects of your humanity and understand their time and place. i wasn’t a good person before this year, i was just timid and pet myself be trampled on because it seemed easier. i tried going to opposite way and i just ended up being an asshole to everyone. it’s about boundaries, how to set them, how to respect them and make sure yours are respected in turn
