@themichaelgriffiths: Your September gardening jobs, save this one 🌿 September is the month that decides how next year goes. Do these now and spring does the rest: 🌱 Lawn maintenance can start again, but if yours still looks rough after this summer, give it a fortnight to recover first ✂️ Once it’s green and growing, set your mower to around 4cm to get the grass ready for winter 🍴 Aerate and overseed now and scarify once it’s growing strongly again 🌾 Switch from summer lawn feed to an autumn feed 🌿 Still time to prune hedges, this is the last cut of the year 🌹 Take cuttings from hydrangeas, roses, fuchsias and salvias (free plants!) 🔍 Check roses for black spot and remove anything affected 🌸 Lift, divide and replant congested perennials once they’ve finished flowering 🍎 Finish summer pruning fruit trees for a better crop next year 🎄 Plant prepared hyacinth bulbs in pots now for flowers at Christmas A couple each weekend and you’ll go into autumn with everything in your favour 🌿 #gardening

hi ..what were the perennial plants you were dividing?
..and could you do a video showing how and where to cut back fruit trees.
Also a video on how to take those cuttings would be really helpful.
TIA 😊💚 🥰💚

The lawn is so bad we barely have anything alive and despite some rain the ground is solid. I would like to plant some bulbs but not yet!!!
