If the transformer remains overloaded: Overload → higher current → much higher heat → insulation deterioration → winding damage → possible transformer failure. A short-term overload may be acceptable if the transformer manufacturer allows it and the temperature remains within limits. But continuous overloading is dangerous. Also, transformer capacity is normally specified in kVA, not simply kW, because the winding current—and therefore heating—depends on apparent power. If you give me your transformer rating (e.g., 500 kVA), primary/secondary voltage, and actual load in amps or kW, I can calculate exactly how much you are overloading it and estimate the effect.

no, calculation only answers on paper it don't consider human error, manufacturing error and environmental factors. engineering is not calculation only, it's also trial and error. to answer your question overload means over current flow that increase the temperature in the wire Which leads to fail or distroy the insulation on the wire leading to destroy the transformer. Please show us the simple calculation you talked about?
