I sat patiently in the waiting room after I was forced to go. Apparently me not moving was enough to come and ask... Neck brace, helped on to a bed by a few people. shoulder surgery and fractured neck. Still annoyed about having to go.

Former EMT here; picked up a farmer about 30 years ago (I'm old lol); this was when 9-1-1 was just coming about and we had no GPS; the operator had to look at a huge county map to get us where we needed to be. The operator said "farmer called himself, states he thinks he needs to go to ER" (didn't give a reason). We were familiar with the area his farm was at (thankfully!) and haul ass there to find him sitting on his steps, cigarette in one hand and his actual other hand, wrapped up in a towel SITTING NEXT TO HIM!! He was white as a ghost but so damn calm. he walked to the ambulance on his own, carrying his hand, all while saying "my wife is getting her hair did, don't go bothering her; I left a note" 😳😳😳

My great uncle was kicked in the face by a mule. His eye came out. But he has a strict policy that he won’t leave the house unless he shaved. So he held his eyeball and shaved his face before going into the ER
