Every day my followers send me messages asking for help with their paint jobs - so I thought I'd share some solutions with the class 👇 👉 1. STARTING ON THE PANEL Pulling the trigger while you’re already over the panel can dump too much paint in one spot. Start spraying just before the panel, then move across it in one smooth pass and do the same thing coming off the panel. 👉 2. INCONSISTENT OVERLAP Your spray passes need to overlap consistently. Too little overlap can leave dry patches, while too much overlap can leave runs. Keep the same overlap from one end of the panel to the other. 👉 3. PUTTING BASECOAT ON TOO HEAVY Beginners often think more paint = faster coverage, but heavy coats can cause reactions and create more problems. Spray thinner coats and build the colour up gradually. MORE COATS. LESS PAINT PER COAT. 👉 4. USING THE WRONG AIR PRESSURE Your spray gun won’t work properly if the air pressure isn’t right. Don’t just plug it in and start painting. Set the pressure correctly before your first coat. It’s one of the simplest things to check but beginners often forget about it.
