When I saw "upstate NY" at the beginning of the video, I rolled my eyes thinking it would be like Lake George. Nope, you literally hiked in my back yard. Glad you got to see beautiful Owl's Head! Come back for the foliage and you're bound to see a moose. 🥰

Those "baby clams" are zebra mussels which are an invasive species in lakes in this region. The salamander is an adult red back salamander which are one of my faves. They usually have a bright red back but you found a "lead back" which happens sometimes and it's not really known why they do that!
