@bodyweightdude: I used to think a workout only counted if it took a chunk out of my day. A drive to the gym. Ninety minutes. Proper session. Anything less and I was cheating myself. Then I became a dad, and the ninety minutes quietly disappeared. Nobody took it off me. It just stopped being there. What kept me stuck wasn’t losing the gym. It was that I couldn’t accept those ninety minutes were incompatible with the life I actually wanted. A business that worked. Being around at home for more than the handover. So I called myself out on it. I stopped asking how hard fitness was supposed to be and started asking what I could keep doing on a Tuesday when everything had gone sideways. For me that was under 30 minutes, bodyweight, from home or the office. And it worked. Genuinely worked, which annoyed me slightly. The biggest variable was never how many steps are in your morning routine, how early you get up, how many angles you’re hitting your biceps from, or whether you broke your fast at 12:01. It’s showing up. Day in day out. Month after month. Year after year. I’ve worked with hundreds of dads now, and it always comes back to the same thing, and it’s never the information. It’s consistency.
