Buried beneath the ground was a wooden canoe estimated to be more than 8,000 years old making it one of the oldest known watercraft ever discovered. The Dufuna Canoe is believed to have been carved from a single tree trunk, showing that people in this region had sophisticated woodworking and water-travel skills thousands of years ago. And here's the mind-blowing part: The canoe is older than Egypt's pyramids by thousands of years. The Great Pyramid of Giza was built around 4,500 years ago.
