Don’t worry about the black out blinds. Babies need to know the difference between day and night, so during the day just do the normal blind and night time it will be dark

I had my son sleeping in his own room from day 1, yes his room was right next to mine, I was lucky in that way. I hope little Arlo managed to sleep more once he was settled

my son is 5 months old and moved into his own room at 3 months. He was getting too big for the bassinet. I used Chat GPT and entered his naps and feeds for about 2 weeks and was able to get him from waking up 4 times a night to waking up 1 or 2 times and some times sleeping through. I go back to work in 2 weeks so I needed to get him on a schedule ASAP. Highly recommended

My son is almost 4 months old been sleeping in a cot since about 2 months still in my room tho, he sleeps so well

My baby rolls onto her stomach as well. I use a rolled-up muslin wrap positioned around her and between her legs, as shown in the photo below. To get her sleeping in her own room, I started with daytime naps there before gradually transitioning her to night sleeps so she could get used to her bed.

Ha! I hated those black out blinds..made my husband put up aluminium foil, welcome to the ghetto little one 😂 it worked though! Immediately started sleeping through the sun peeping out

I moved my baby into his own room at 6 months old and honestly slept through the night as he wasn’t getting disturbed when he would go in and one of our room/bathroom!

My bubba woke up so many times through the night in the bassinet, we moved her to her cot when she was 6 months and now she sleeps through the night!

Our baby sleeps on his tummy his also 6 months old. Impossible to stop him 🥲 but I feel comfortable that he is able to roll back to forth.

I waited a year to move my son to his own room because he ALSO woke multiple times a night in our room. It took a few weeks of a few wakes and needing mummy cuddles in the night but he slowly learnt self soothed through the night and we are now 5 months of 10-12 hour sleep nights 😍 (we also didn’t force any sleep training or cry it out method, I ensured he knew it was his safe space and I would always be there if he needed) next bub we will be transitioning earlier 😂

I went from a bassinet to a portcot on our room. And his cot stayed in his room for day naps. But he stayed in our room longer. Until was sleeping better. So much easier for us. Best of luck
