For years, Sunday had an expiration time. I could be somewhere beautiful, surrounded by the people I loved most and part of my mind was already thinking about tomorrow. The alarm. The commute. The 12 hour shift. Leaving my babies. Going back to a life that looked responsible on paper but felt heavier and heavier on my heart. I felt guilty for wanting something different because I had a career I had worked hard for. I had a BSN. I had “security”… (so I thought).. But I also had this constant stirring that whispered… “There has to be another way” and eventually, I stopped ignoring it. I found an opportunity to learn completely new skills, build income differently, and trust God with a path I couldn’t fully see yet. Tomorrow is Monday and I’m sitting by the lake. There’s no uniform waiting for me. No shift I have to clock into. No boss deciding when I can be with my family. And THAT is what gets me emotional. Yes, the income God has allowed me to create has been an incredible blessing. But owning my time? Being present with my babies? Not spending Sunday dreading Monday? That’s the answered prayer. He led me toward a life where my work could fit around what matters most. So if Sunday evening already has you mentally clocking into Monday morning, and you’ve been praying for another way… Maybe you don’t need the entire plan before you take the first step.
