Mom got contaminated blood transfusion. One child, Jake, got it in utero. he survived into adulthood. Still alive. The daughter got it through breast milk and died at 7 yrs old.

Did she get the blood transfusion while she was pregnant with both her kids? Were they twins? If they’re not, how do you get infected twice? I just don’t get it.

The mindset back then versus now is astounding. 40 years ago, it would have been acceptable for him to ditch the family because they had HIV, and now we would think he was a horrible person.

I received a blood transfusion when I was 6 months old. At some point after they discovered that people had been given infected blood. I was rushed in to have tests done. I am two times lucky because the reason I had the transfusion was because I had become mysteriously ill but they had no idea what it was or how to save me...they told my parents to start making funeral arrangements for me. Then I escaped contracting AIDS from the transfusion I received.

Because this man 1) loved his wife, 2) is a real man who stood beside her after she contracted AIDS while giving birth to her children. Through a blood transfusion it’s not like she cheated on him. It’s not like I don’t know what the other scenarios could be but yes, a lot of men would’ve left, but this man understood the sanctity of marriage. He loved his wife. He honored his marriage, and he honors them his children and his wife to this day. If y’all can’t understand that then I don’t know what to tell you she’s better men, I guess
