I was suppmain at first. then became a tank main and now learned most of the dive and lorded the dive characters and let me tell you ... Dive isnt as hard as they make it to be. Its legit just awareness, smth that also both other roles should have, if not supp needs it more. All you gotta do as dive is learn a combo ( which is super super easy) and know when to go in and out.

Dive players abuse an exploit, combo or tech. They find one method to kill instantly and repeat it til they can replicate it. That doesn't imply skill. Anyone can perform a Fatality in Mortal Kombat, that doesn't mean that's skill. Healers dont like duve because: 1. They never play woth the team. 2. They always complain about heals. 3. They never peel, swap or help what the team needs. 4. They only care about kills. 5. They wait ages to get a Kill while their tanks are being nuked. 6. They are SIMPLY NOT FUN TO PLAY WITH OR AGAINST. Its that simple.

This whole video is bro crying because dive players chose to play the hardest character type. No shit it’s going to be hard to solo dive into the enemy backline while ur out of los from ur team? Why would the devs make it so that a character type will be able to run in and take out a backline easy? If yall are bitching about it not being easy, don’t play dive? Want easy value? Go Bucky. Don’t want a gun character? Go wolv and target tanks. As a Strat main I can always tell the difference between a good diver and someone who thinks strats should be an easy kill.

so putting aside the slander on not using brains (I play both supp and dive dont come for me.) Supp isnt easy or hard. Its not just lack of awareness and cooldowns. Anyway. The reason supports are so hard to kill is because there are never peels. There was a literal patch note seasons ago from the devs saying to peel and no one would. its not about any role being better or more skilled. thats just based on character difficulty. obviously cnd is an easy example. but comparing her skill base to bp isnt fair. we could compare Daredevil with hit range where you can be pretty much behind him and still be sent to spawn, to mantis. Which wouldnt be fair. So the biggest issue is if someone cant play the game it isnt fun. like BP and thing. or Luna and spidey. if you cant play the game it takes the fun out of things. Its not balanced sure. but you cant be empathetic to only one side and apathetic to the other. Both sides are hard in their own right

The dive “must be mechanically skilled for hours and days on end and end” these characters have 3 buttons not a single character in this game is harder than 10 hours to learn fluently this is just straight dps bait and cope

Supports don't like being displaced halfway across the map by a Spidey hitting 1 button or being killed in less that a second by a BP. As somebody who fills but usually that means support or tank I can tell you that balanced dives like Magik or pretty much any tank dive isn't a huge deal it just takes a little bit of management as far as abilities go.... but just like dives don't like a CnD pressing freeze and being free. Supports don't like having to be able to see the future and know that in less than a second they should hit multiple abilities to survive a BP or Spidey pull or DD. Only Luna and cloak are genuinely zero effort. Every other support requires way more awareness and skill than any dive in the game and it's not even close

This feels like it's not fully going into why supports don't like dive and I feel it's a very similar reason as to why dive hates Thing and tanks hate Wolv. Dives entire goal is to make sure the supports essentially don't get to play the game. If someone favorite character is just turned into a victim by another, they're going to hate that other character. Thing completely prevents divers like BP from playing the game, tanks are kidnapped by a good wolv and prevented from playing the game, and supports are regularly dove and killed by divers and prevented from playing the game.
