In Italia, infatti, senza patologie mediche, il costo è interamente a carico della donna: tra i 2.000 e i 5.000 euro a ciclo, a cui vanno aggiunti i farmaci e la tassa annuale di conservazione (da 200 a 500 euro all'anno). Una scelta, quindi, fortemente legata al reddito.

Al costo va aggiunta la problematica politica, ovvero che dovrebbero cambiare le leggi, dato che in Italia le donne che non sono in una relazione non possono utilizzare i propri ovuli per crescere un figlio da sole… in spagna questi limiti non ci sono
