@rail.culture: Ce 6/8 III 14305 krokodil on the 4th track in Sissach, starting the shunting procedure in order to reverse the train for the return trip to Olten It can be seen accelerating while doing the beautiful sound of earlies electric engines wich let you feel their not so small size. In fact they were too large to be fitted in between the wheels, instead a transmission system was projected, wich is seen at the wheel's level going up and down just like steam lococotives Probably one of the most iconic locomotives ever made, built in 1926 ( 100yo at the moment! ) to haul freight trains on mountain passes like the gotthard. This video was taken on August 30 during an historic train service of sbbhistoric from Olten to Sissach and return Definitely one of my favorite locomotives 📌 Sissach 🚂 Ce 6/8 III 14305 krokodil 🗓️ 30/08/26 #sbb #sbbhistoric #trains #trainspotting #railway
