Stark is a beast and totally unaware of it. its been cool watching him gain confidence in his power after having seen fern do the same. them realizing they have feeling for eachother is interesting because their both totally unskilled and new to all of it. frieren goofy ass just watching them and putting together pieces of her relationship with himmel that she never understood before is also done really well. slow burn for sure but very well written! the slow pacing to me is a reflection of the fact that they are not going on some quest to save the world, theres no timetable to follow, just a destination they want to reach together.

Frieren seeing what she could have had. Stark getting more confidant, Fern opening up more. The slow burn romance, watching them grow, and learn, and struggling. We get to watch them grow with Frieren, and in turn watch Frieren gain a family again. I could talk for hours about everything this show does to break the mold. The animation tricks and off center frames. It has undoubtedly earned its place in the next big 3.

On the date, when Stark didn’t compliment her outfit was so perfectly awkward. It really captured the teen dating experience. The writing so good and real, I love it.

I have been getting my girlfriend to watch Frieren. It’s her first time watching it and We just finished season 1. Just cried at almost every single episode. And she has been VERY into the idea of Stark and Fern being together. I can’t wait to start showing her the next season.
