I brought 3 portable chargers with me cause I have a history of having a dead phone while travelling🫣 and they confiscated 2/3 😭 it’s okay tho, I learned my lesson to never go out with a phone less than 75% 😀

hotel can't refuse to foreigners. the law about it was made i thing the last year, and if hotel try to reżyser to you you can call the police, police are obligate to come and clear it for you. also do the screenshot of this law and kept it.

n May 2024, the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Commerce officially ordered hotels across China not to refuse foreign guests based on a lack of "foreigner qualifications". If they can’t scan your passport they have to manually input your info. If they “don’t know how to do it” police can be called to assist. With that said, better to confirm in advance that the hotel if you can. A text or email reply should be enough.
