@candikinney_np: You haven’t had a meaningful raise in three years, but every year they expect you to see more and more patients. You need permission to take vacation that’s yours. You have to check your PTO balance when your child is sick. And someone else decides what your time as a Nurse Practitioner is worth. I was terrified of giving up my “guaranteed” paycheck too.
