After the late Queen Elizabeth II of England, Harald V was the second-oldest monarch in the world. King Harald V led Norway and its people with great skill, wisdom, devotion, and deep love. His 35-year reign was crowned with achievements, success, and the best decisions for the Norwegian people. He was a staunch supporter of the arts, freedom, and equal rights for all Norwegian citizens. He warmly welcomed people of other nationalities and championed education, innovation, and the arts. As an artist from Romania, I have admired Harald V enormously. I am a Romanian monarchist; I support the monarchy and love the Royal Families of Europe—especially those of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, England, and Belgium. I wish your mother, Queen Mette-Marit, a speedy recovery and many years of life, to your joy and that of the entire nation. Attached here, Your Highness, is a portrait I created based on a photograph taken when you came of age. I also created a portrait of Queen Mette-Marit from the time she was Crown Princess, and I am currently working on a portrait of King Haakon VIII. I hope you like them.
