theory: each unicorn feeds off of the symbol on their stomach, bobby: attention, benny: sunlight, buddy: love. when the show got cut, bobby starved and di3d. buddy knew how to get kids into the “tv land” so he used benny to create the animate objects ex: mr. mailbox, and strappy. then when he got the kids into the “tv land” he imprisoned benny under the well without sunlight because he knew benny couldn’t function without sunlight, he then forced benny to fix the broken/injured animate objects. buddy is the only well-working one due to the kids he kidnapped.

Buddy said I'm a clumsy dancer and Bobby said it's ok, not everyone can be a star like me... and that's when buddy said diamond city had beautiful stars he wanted to show Bobby and klled him in front of Benny. he made Benny carry Bobby with him and buddy built the display over top of where he barried him.. when they got back , buddy ripped Benny's eyes out and thru him down the well

What most likely happened was that Buddy killed Bobby because Bobby was probably the main person in the show because Bobby is in the middle of the mural they all used to have a show together buddy got jelous killed Bobby and kept Benny alive because he makes the props so he kept him in the well and chained him and glued his mouth shut I think that’s why he was mute so he couldn’t tell the children what happened

My theory is for Benny buddy chained him down in there some he wont escape and by looking at Bobby buddy and Benny they all got different shapes or designs on their chest and maybe Benny need to be in sunlight to fully heal to make his whole body fine just like buddy how he heals from hugs and songs
