Just keep the engine running and connect to the car battery, then the battery won't die and you don't need to use a "Spare" battery!!🤣

engine should be dropped out the bottom where possible as it removes the sludge, iron fillings etc. its lazy to not drain a car from the bottom mu boat is different as now way to drop the oil so i pump it out of dipstick. difference is the boat does 3000rpm max but cars to much more so very important i cars to have good clean oil. having said that these pumps are very good for sealed for life axles, diffs. draining fuel.tanks etc

you need to change the filter at the same time ideally, and if youre doing that then most likely you're under the car covered in oil anyway

yh just leave any metal sitting in the sump. at least you wont know if its there because you didnt remove the sump plug. great idea

I take out the sump plug on ramps and leave it out overnight. it still an odd drip in the morning. changing your oil ? or half of it?

It don’t suck the crap out the bottom of sump ..stick to the old fashioned way your engine will last longer

Nice idea but.... The previous comments are exactly right. Your leave metal in the bottom of your engine so this is completely pointless, unless you dont mind scrapping your engine...
