You ask why your heart feels heavy, yet your Qur’an remains untouched on the shelf. We spend hours searching for solutions to our anxiety, our stress, and our unanswered du’as. We try everything to fix our lives…except returning to the very speech of the One who created us. The Prophet ﷺ passed on a profound Hadith Qudsi from Allah Almighty: “Whosoever is occupied by the Qur’an and My remembrance from asking of Me, I shall give him better than what I give to those who ask.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2926) Read that again. When you prioritize your relationship with the Book of Allah, Allah prioritises your needs. You do not even have to struggle to find the words to ask…He already knows what is hidden deep within your chest, and He rewards your devotion by giving you far better than what you could have ever prayed for. Our primary issue today isn’t a lack of time, money, or resources. Our primary issue is a lack of attachment to the Qur’an. We treat the Qur’an as a decorative item or a ritual reserved only for funerals and Ramadan. But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reminded us: “Recite the Qur’an, for indeed Allah does not punish a heart that has comprehended the Qur’an. And indeed, this Qur’an is the banquet of Allah on Earth; whoever enters His banquet is safe.” (Sunan al-Darimi 3354) If your heart feels unsheltered, cold, or broken by this world, enter the banquet. Step into the safety of His words. You don’t always need to find the perfect words. Just open up the Qur’an. 🤲 A Reflection & Action Step for Today: Don’t let another day pass where you talk to the creation more than you listen to the Creator. Open the Qur’an today…even if it is just for five minutes, even if it is just one verse.
