I’m thinking about the challenges this female protagonist if they ever do one again she’ll be having to go through the main one is she would really be fighting for attention from a lot of the iconic protagonist of the persona series like Joker Makoto Yuki yu narukami But it’ll be really cool to see another female protagonist

If this is about the interviews that popped it, its a decade interview about SMT4 or SMT4 Apocalypse. And I doubt by now they still the same views about women with the way the Vengeance Story in SMT V Vengeance was written, the predominant and driving force of the whole plot are exclusively women

The "girls cant be a survivor," part is something the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus guy actually said about why he probably won't make a game with a female protagonist. Cause girl muscles can't swing a sword, or climb monsters.

Girls will play even if the protagonist is male. A good chunk of boys/men will be turned off from playing by a female protagonist. The same goes for other attributes like skin color. Black people will play these games just fine but some white people would never play as a black character. It's the mindset of the default white male main character in media. (I know they're asian but their perception is that.)
