Hey Darren, pretty disappointed in this video. One, you say Warsh signaled “major rate hikes” no he didn’t? He barely telegraphed that he might hike rates, he did not signal MAJOR rate hikes. Secondly, you were one of the few people who understood what Trump was doing with the oil market and and ceasefires, that it was bullshit to manipulate the market and make money. For some reason, you seem to trust Warsh. Warsh is a part of this game, not separate. I believe he will hike rates .25bp. But not because he’s independent and that’s what should happen, because him, Trump, and Bessent have spent the past few weeks building fake controversy so that Warsh can publicly oppose them and gain credibility, specifically from people like you, so that when he does cut rates in the near future, it doesn’t seem like he’s doing it as Trump’s crony and gets to keep saying the Fed is independent when it’s not.
