As a writer, I honestly think adult should have had the same format as abbott elementary, 14–20 episodes per season, 25–30 minutes each. That was basically the go-to sitcom format in the 2000s. But I feel like adult was conceived more as a tv show than an actual sitcom, maybe as a way to make it more marketable
