I don't get the comments. This is a good start compared to the price of the previous metro pass. You're only paying for what you use and if you live in Toronto and need to commute daily, 47 isn't hard to reach. If you live outside of Toronto, then Mayor Chow doesn't serve your area and you should reach out to your local mayor.

So the 47-trip cap mainly benefits people who use the TTC beyond a basic work commute — weekends, evenings, multiple separate outings per day, etc. The more meaningful change comes in 2027, when TTC says the cap drops to 40 paid trips.

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! This was meant for those who don't have a 9-5, those who need to go to two jobs in one day or be in three places even (like school). This was meant for those students that commute from far away and MUST be in their campus waiting a 4hr break in between classes but cannot go back home. This gives them a chance to explore their city more. This is for those who cannot afford to pay a monthly pass at the beginning of the month because its between that, school fees or rent. It might not be perfect or good, but I do appreciate this for those who need it the most. If you think this doesn't benefit YOU, its probably because it was meant for someone that has LESS than you or is in a WORST situation than you.
