The European Commission has formally asked the European Parliament and all EU Member States to pause strict PPWR enforcement for small businesses. They’ve proposed removing or softening the obligation because it’s too heavy for micro‑enterprises, and they’ve told national authorities to avoid fines and give warnings instead. If micro‑businesses stop shipping, the problem becomes invisible and regulators assume the system is working. But if we keep shipping, the pressure stays visible, the flaws stay obvious, and the EU is forced to fix the law. Carrying on is how small creators protect their livelihoods.

While I appreciate the EU being proactive on recycling, to put this law in place without having a way to allow small/micro businesses an easy way to continue business is short sighted.
