From a law-enforcement perspective, she wasn’t shot because she had killed and stabbed two other people. she was shot because in the moment police contacted her, she came at then with deadly weapons which is why they shot her. People need to know the difference!

its so ridiculous. If the cops didnt do anything and she went off and stabbed one of them (NOBODY WOULD CARE). But if she stabbed a civilian, the cops would continue to be portrayed as they didn't do their jobs. I find it humorous that there are people saying what NYPD did was wrong, but if she had gone after them with a knife and the officers were more concerned with saving the attackers life rather than theirs they’d never shut up about it.
