I am on micronized progesterone and I am sleeping much better but I am so exhausted during the day. I could fall asleep in 2 seconds at any point in the day even after 8 hrs of good sleep.

100mg progestin nightly. Adverse reaction - anxiety, heart palpitations and trouble sleeping. I do a bit better on a compounded 100mg progesterone sustained release but still not great. What else should I try?

I'm currently on 100mg of Prometrium. It helps me stay asleep for about 5 hours. However, I always have a low grade headache and often get ice pick headaches. I never had ice pick headaches before progesterone.

It is not making me feel better. Also, didn’t know it could make you sleepy and was taking in the morning. I just curled up on the couch for about 6 weeks.

100mg orally made me rage out but sleep amazing. Switch to topical cream which worked. but sleep is terrible and had to use more and more. Now doing 300mg vaginally but still doesn't feel sustainable and I no longer have a bleed cycle. Going to ask my doctor about progesterone in oil injections.

It's absolutely awful. And I can't get help. I have tried pellet... All I did was sleep. Oral, different dose and timing makes me jittery, can't sleep, mean and no motivation, and weight gain and puffy . Vaginal is good for three to four days then bam the worst and I mean the worst depression ever. I can not get anyone to hear or actually help.

I’ve always wondered about this. I started with estrogen alone for a few days and felt amazing. Progesterone: my body had this aversion to taking it. That aversion has gone down but I still have this feeling like I should be cycling my progesterone like some women talk about.

I was on 200 oral per day with a 0.05 estrogen patch. Had bleeding & and ultrasound found slightly thickened lining, however uterine biopsy was normal. They lowered me to 0.0375 patch still bleeding. They added 100 mg vaginal progesterone bleeding stopped but I felt crazy couldn’t sleep and super irritated. Took away the vaginal progesterone and switched to 100 mg oral progesterone waiting to see if this stops the bleeding.
