The lower trapezius spans from the lower portion of your shoulder blade toward the middle of your spine, creating a roughly triangle-shaped region where people can experience tenderness and trigger points. 💡 Here’s what’s happening: When the lower trap becomes irritated or overloaded, tender points in the muscle can produce pain around and between the shoulder blade and spine. ⚡ The area you’re targeting runs from the inside edge of the shoulder blade toward the spine. ⚡ Rather than working one exact point, you can gradually explore the entire region for areas that feel particularly tight or tender. ⚡ Once you find one, sustained pressure can be used to work on that sensitive spot. 🛠️ How to find + release it: ✅ STEP 1: Find your starting point Locate the inside border of your shoulder blade and follow it downward toward the bottom. ✅ STEP 2: Move toward the spine At approximately that level, place the tool near the spine and begin working back and forth between the shoulder blade and spine. ✅ STEP 3: Explore the triangle Gradually work your way through the entire lower-trap region, looking for specific areas of tenderness or tension. ✅ STEP 4: Find it → pull → hold When you find a tender spot, gently pull forward with the tool and hold sustained pressure for a release.
