The teams were set: Oom, Lena, Hera, and a classmate named Mind on Red Team; Miu, Bam, Athena, and a girl named Mint on Blue Team. "Don't hold back, Miu!" Lena called out playfully, tying her red hair back as she took her position on defense. "I never hold back on you, darling," Miu winked, bouncing the basketball on the polished floor. Oom stood near the top of the key, her dark eyes laser-focused on Bam, who was standing on the left wing. Oom sauntered over, guarding Bam so closely their shoulders brushed. "You know," Oom whispered, leaning in as Miu initiated the pass, "you look very cute with your hair up, fiancée. Very aerodynamic." Bam didn't even look at her. "Focus on the ball, Miss Eisaya." "I am focusing," Oom purred. "I'm focusing on my future wife." Before the word 'wife' fully left Oom's mouth, Miu whipped a crisp, lightning-fast pass across the court. Bam moved. She didn't just catch the ball, she caught it in fluid, breathtaking motion. In a fraction of a second, Bam executed a sharp, decisive crossover, faking left and driving hard to the right. Oom, caught completely off-guard by Bam's sudden speed, stumbled back, her foot catching on the court line. She reached out wildly to balance herself, but Bam was already gone, elevating smoothly off two feet and letting fly a pristine, effortless jump shot. The ball snapped through the net without touching the rim. "Nice shot, Bam!" Athena cheered, high-fiving her. Oom stood near the key, her face burning, her chest heaving as she adjusted her red vest. She stared at Bam in absolute shock. Bam turned back toward defense. As she passed Oom, she didn't smile, didn't brag, didn't even gloat. She simply gave Oom a cool, sideways glance. "You talk too much on defense," Bam said quietly. "Oh, it's on," Oom muttered, her competitive pride flaring up like gasoline on a fire.
