@meghannmcuniff: Jurors continued deliberating in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial at 9:13 a.m. in Massachusetts. The jury of nine women and three men have deliberated about 17 hours since Thursday. They deliberated about seven hours on Monday and did not ask questions. Judge William Sullivan recessed them at 3:45 p.m. after they asked to go home. They convened in Sullivan's courtroom this morning (Tuesday, Sept. 1) before going to the jury room. Sullivan's clerk read her standard introduction: "We have 12 deliberating jurors and six alternates in the matter of Commonwealth versus Lindsay Clancy. Ms. Clancy is present. She is represented by Attorney Kevin Reddington. The Commonwealth is represented by Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague and Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham." Judge Sullivan asked jurors the questions he asks each morning of deliberations: "Has any member of the jury read, seen, heard, or overheard anything that would affect your ability to be fair and impartial juror at this point?" "Is there any other serious matter of concern bearing on your service as a juror in this case? Anybody needs to bring to my attention at this point?" "Thank you again for following those instructions. And at this time, I'll just send you back out to resume your deliberations," the judge said. Clancy, who turned 36 last month, was on maternity leave from her job as a labor and delivery nurse when she strangled 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. She is charged with three counts of murder; jurors must decide if it's premeditated. Jurors can consider manslaughter as a lesser included offense to murder. Clancy's case involves serious issues that could distress people. If you or someone you know needs help, you can call or text 988 to speak to a trained crisis counselor. I can't see how they'll do this again. That is why a verdict has to be reached. There will not be another unbiased trial. It would be impossible.

I can’t imagine having 5 options for a verdict. Statistically speaking, that’s hard to get 12 people to agree on one

Again Meghan you have claimed Lindsay strangled her kids in your caption. That’s very irresponsible.

This case to me shows how people believe what they want to believe. I’m not sure on how I feel the outcome should be but I’ve heard both sides of the fence. But even if there is solid evidence people dismiss it.

The few that might be arguing excuse them and use the backup jurors, if decision isn’t made then hung jury.

It shocks me, that perhaps a few one‘s in the jury, are thinking that she was not responsible of her actions… (sure it can be an other object where they have diff opinions

I don’t understand why the parents sit in court all day like that. They could show up when there is a verdict , they give a hour verdict notice
