Spiced Apple Cake in the @Russell Hobbs® ANZ 11-in-1 Digital Multi Cooker! #Ad Ingredients: Cake: - 3/4 cup caster sugar - 125g butter, melted - 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extrac 1 1/2 cups plain flour - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon allspice - Pinch of salt - 1/4-1/3 cup milk - 2 medium apples, diced (peeled or unpeeled) Oat Topping: - 1/4 cup brown sugar - 1/2 cup rolled oats - Sprinkle of cinnamon - 50g butter, melted Method 1. Line an 8-inch cake tin with baking paper. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the caster sugar, melted butter, egg and vanilla extract until combined. 3. Add the plain flour, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice and salt directly to the bowl and whisk to combine. 4. Gradually add the milk, using just enough to create a thick but smooth batter. Depending on your flour, this will be around 1/4 to 1/3 cup of milk. 5. Fold through the diced apple pieces. You can leave the skin on or peel them if preferred. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and smooth the top. 7. To make the topping, combine the brown sugar, oats, cinnamon and melted butter in a small bowl until evenly coated. Sprinkle over the cake. 8. Cover the cake tin tightly with foil. 9. Place the trivet into the bottom of the multi cooker bowl and pour in 1 litre of water. 10. Carefully place the cake tin onto the trivet and select the Bake function on the multi cooker. Cook for 35-40 minutes with the valve closed. 11. Once cooking is complete, open the valve to release the steam before removing the cake from the cooker. 12.Remove the foil and allow the cake to cool slightly before slicing and serving. This cake sits somewhere between a cake and a pudding, beautifully moist, gently spiced and perfectly steamed on the inside with a buttery oat topping. #EasyRecipe #russellhobbsanz #applecake
