Browned Butter Cookie 🍪 Ingredients: * ¾ cup (170 g) unsalted butter * ¾ cup (150 g) brown sugar, packed * ⅓ cup + 1 tbsp (70 g) white sugar * 1 large egg (50 g) * 1 egg yolk (18 g) * 1 tsp (5 g) vanilla extract * 1½ cups (180 g) all-purpose flour * ½ tsp (2.5 g) baking soda * ½ tsp (2.5 g) salt * ½ cup (100 g) chocolate chips or chopped chocolate * Flaky salt, optional Instructions: 1. Brown the butter over medium heat until golden and nutty. Remove from the heat immediately. 2. Pour into a mixing bowl and cool for about 10 minutes. The butter should still be liquid but not hot. 3. Add the brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla. Whisk for about 1 minute. 4. Add the egg and the egg yolk. Whisk until smooth and glossy. 5. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to the wet mixture and fold just until combined. 6. Fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate. 7. Chill fir about 30 minutes. 8. Scoop into 45 g portions and place on a lined baking tray. Leave plenty of space between each cookie. 9. Bake at 160C for 9 minutes. 10. As soon as they come out of the oven, gently bang the tray 1–2 times on the counter. This will create the wrinkly, rippled edges. 11. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired. Let cool on the tray for 10 minutes. #brownbuttercookie #brownedbutter #chocolate #cookies #fypp
